Back on Apple Music

After a bit of delay, Riding Solo is back on Apple Music

It is also on Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, and other streaming services.

Fun fact: this track was originally released in 2022 and has a Country twang to the vocals. So grab your cowboy hats and boots if you so desire!

New Again

I have gotten back to publishing again.

Riding Solo is my first track to be re-released after changes in my distribution journey started in fall 2023.

Through Distrokid, I was able to get back on most of the digital platforms that I wanted to get on. However, there are some drawbacks too.

As currently configured, distribution to DJ facing resources is restricted to one, Beatport. The bigger issue there is that proper label attribution can not be done on Distrokid. Boo!

So going forward, I’m likely to use this distribution channel when I want to go experiment with a sound. A vehicle where my music and the other producer/DJs I work with published on mGrooves Music is still to come.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy being able to play Riding Solo again. Other digital streaming services this track will be available on added daily.

U Dropped The Bomb On Me

Again, I have really put my foot into this one!

Yeah, I have another one! This time I go back to my kid days fave in funk music and restyle it with a Bass House flavor and add a some Trap Hip Hop like lead keys!

Just like my previous Contraband remixes, it will be featured in upcoming live DJ sets, and in a Select mix on Mixcloud. It is highly recommended that you subscribe to my Mixcloud exclusive mixes and be in the room the next time I throw down…

Know The Difference

Again, I have really put my foot into this one!

In this latest addition to my contraband series, I started with a sample of Esthero’s Jenny-Bea Englishman and channeled my distastes for the stereotypes rampant in dating apps.

Just like my previous Contraband remixes, it will be featured in upcoming live DJ sets, and in a Select mix on Mixcloud. It is highly recommended that you subscribe to my Mixcloud exclusive mixes and be in the room the next time I throw down…

Supa Staaar

Again, I have really put my foot into this one!

In this latest addition to my contraband series, I have mixed a Roland Clark acapella covering a Luther classic. This track is straight fire, if I do say so myself.

In addition to it being in Soundcloud, it will be featured in upcoming live DJ sets, and in a Select mix on Mixcloud. So it is highly recommended that you subscribe to them and be in the room the next time I throw down. Hehehehe.

BSB0099 Select

Yes, I have dropped another BSB as a select mix. And I think I have the format for this going forward!

The Select mixes are an exclusive set on Mixcloud. One of the key features of these mixes is that there is no talk-over. That’s right–none of my blathering about.

Another key feature of the Select mixes is that they will have an extended length. The standard BSB runs about an hour. The BSB Select will run about 2 hours and feature a lot more tracks that you would likely hear only if you were at one of the clubs or private parties were I’m laying down the set. There is also a complete track list with every Select mix.

Finally, coming soon will be 1st access to merchandise and 1st access to shows.

Upgrade your listening experience!

Riding Solo

I’m very excited to announce this release on my record label on mGrooves Music. It is a 5 track compilation with 2 tunes from Ed Ridgley, a remix by Tracey Cooper, 2 tunes by Afropino, and my contribution–Riding Solo.

I have wanted to have this type of release for quite a while!

Throbbing

Okay. I really put my foot into this one!

I have a new addition to the Contraband remix series. At the request, I went back to do another Janet Jackson song. Yes, I can commissioned to do an underground remix!

This time I went at Throb originally from her 1995 album simple called Janet.

A download can be had by joining my Contraband journal.

I’ll be catching up with producing a video in the near future, as well as for Zaddy.
